The organization you are submitting files to can add you as an Incoming FTP (file transfer protocol) user so that you can upload files (image, video, etc.) directly into their Libris account. An Administrator or Editor on the organization's Libris account will need to provide you with FTP-specific login credentials (a username and password) first.
FTP Images into the Libris Library
- From your FTP client (e.g. Transmit, FileZilla, CyberDuck) set the server to ftp.photoshelter.com and the Port to 21.
You can also search the Apple App Store or Google Play store for a free FTP app for your mobile device to transfer media straight from your mobile phone or tablet using this upload method. You may also be interested in the Libris Uploader Mobile App.
- Enter the username and password that you have been provided as a new incoming FTP user.

- Select File > Upload in the FTP client navigation and select the files for upload. Alternatively, you can drag folders from your desktop directly to the FTP client upload window.
The transfer will begin automatically and speeds will vary based on your internet connection.
Note: Check with the Administrator or Editor granting you FTP access to see whether or not they have given you access to upload straight into a Gallery (in which case, you will select files for upload) or a Collection (in which case, you can select files or whole folders for upload).
